Who We Are
Stichting Heart of Generous Works International is a charitable foundation focused on implementing impactful development projects in Malawi.
Our primary mission is to improve the lives of children and marginalised communities through provision of clean water and sanitation, education and social initiatives. Our efforts will be geared towards fostering long-term sustainable development, ensuring that people have access to clean water and children have access to quality education and a healthier living environment.
Through partnerships with local NGOs such as Tijilere Foundation and PDI, we ensure that our projects are community-driven and impactful.
What We Do

— Education
At Heart of Generous Works International, we believe education is the foundation of a brighter future. We invest in building and renovating schools, creating safe and welcoming classrooms where children can learn and grow. By providing scholarships and sponsorships, particularly for underprivileged girls, we open doors to equal opportunities that can change lives. Our teacher training programs equip educators with modern skills and resources, ensuring they can deliver quality education to every child. In addition, we are bridging the digital divide by introducing technology-based learning in rural areas, giving students access to the tools they need to thrive in the modern world.

— Water & Sanitation
Access to clean water and proper sanitation is a basic human right, yet many communities in Malawi still struggle to meet these needs. Through our water projects, we drill boreholes and construct wells in water-scarce regions, providing safe drinking water close to home. We also build sanitation facilities, such as latrines, and run hygiene awareness campaigns to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases. To ensure long-term solutions, we install water filtration systems in schools and communities, giving children and families a reliable source of clean and safe water.

— Social Development
Beyond education and water, we are committed to improving the overall well-being of communities through social development initiatives. Our healthcare and nutrition programs bring essential services such as health camps, vaccination drives, and nutritional support to children and mothers who need them most. We also provide vocational training to women and youth, helping them acquire practical skills that open pathways to employment and self-reliance. To strengthen community resilience, we organize awareness programs that highlight the importance of education, sanitation, and health, fostering unity and a collective drive for sustainable development.
Impact Stories
Vocational Skills for Youth
Many young people in Malawi face unemployment and limited opportunities after school. Our vocational training programs teach youth trades like tailoring, carpentry, and sustainable farming. One graduate proudly opened his own carpentry shop, creating jobs for others and breaking the cycle of poverty.
Community United for Change
In one village, our awareness campaigns on sanitation and health sparked a movement. Families built their own latrines, adopted hygiene practices, and worked together to keep their surroundings clean. What began as a project has turned into a community-wide commitment to healthier living.
